SVOM: catching GRBs and HE transients on the fly

We present the SVOM mission, which is due for launch in December 2021. The talk will focus on the scientific goals of the mission, the characteristics of SVOM instruments, the observing modes of the satellite, and the important ground segment. The use of HE source catalogs on-board and of visible/NIR catalogs on the ground will be discussed.
